Careers

Are you an out-of-the box thinker? Do you want to be a part of a team that’s transforming networking? Are you interested in shaping the way networks will be architected in the future?

If you answered yes, then ON.LAB may be the place for you. ON.LAB offers a once in a lifetime opportunity to be part of the software-defined networking (SDN) revolution. You can help open the Internet and cloud infrastructure up for innovation by working on the open source tools and platforms that will help the SDN community experiment with SDN and accelerate broad SDN adoption.

What It’s Like to Work at ON.LAB

ON.LAB is a vibrant non-profit organization where everyone is passionate about changing the networking paradigm for the better.

Here you will be interacting regularly with leaders in academia, who work at world class universities, such as Stanford and University of California, Berkeley. You will also work closely with industry innovators — our sponsors include an impressive list of corporations and organizations — who are leveraging the tools and platforms that ON.LAB creates to advance their SDN research and develop their next-generation solutions.

By working at ON.LAB you will collaborate with and be recognized by the greater open source SDN community for your contributions. Everything we do is available free to the public through open source licensing, so you will be a part of many revolutionary projects taking place around the world.

The culture of ON.LAB is one of openness, creativity and collaboration. We think big, but build our ideas iteratively. In our Menlo Park office, you will often find us working through complex problems together, white boarding ideas and challenging norms of thinking. Those of us who telecommuted that day are just as present in the conversations!

We take care of our people, with benefits and compensation commensurate with other high-class organizations. We provide generous medical, dental and vision plans. We trust everyone to do what it is they need to do. There is no PTO accrual — we assume you will take what you need. Our hours are flexible and we encourage environmental responsibility by providing transit passes to those who want to use public transportation. We also support telecommuter ensuring a proper set up to connect remotely to ON.LAB resources, sponsor visas and much more.
